First, we map every link
When we scan your current site, we go through every product, page, photo, and URL Google knows about. Every existing URL gets its place on the new site, so the rankings you built over the years have somewhere to go.
An old link, and its new page
- Shopify/products/gift-box/product/gift-boxRedirects
- Wix/product-page/gift-box/product/gift-boxRedirects
- WooCommerce/product/gift-box/product/gift-boxSame link
- No longer sold/products/old-box410: gone
It depends on where you move from
- From WordPress and WooCommerce: your links can stay exactly as they are, so there's nothing to redirect.
- From Shopify and Wix: every old URL redirects to the matching page on the new site.
- From a custom-built site: your products, photos, and content come over as far as your current site can export them, and here too every old URL redirects to its new page.
A product you no longer sell tells Google it's gone, with a 410 status code, instead of showing an error page.
What no one can promise
Every site is built to the usual guidance for Google and AI search. Google says rankings may go up and down for a while during a site move, and that they settle down over time. The ranking itself is Google's call, so no one can promise you a position, and we won't either.
