MOVA vs Shopify
A Shopify alternative, done for you.
Pick Shopify if you want to build and run your store yourself, with thousands of apps and its built-in AI assistant, Sidekick: $29/month billed yearly, $39 monthly (Oct 18, 2026). Pick MOVA if you want your store moved, kept up, and checked for you, with one admin and an AI team, for $149/month plus setup. US stores start with Maya.
- On Shopify, you build and run the store yourself. At MOVA, we build it, move it, and check every change for you.
- Shopify adds a fee of 2% on Basic when you use a third-party payment provider. MOVA is $149/month for the base, and your payment processor's fees are paid by use.
- Shopify comes with one AI assistant, Sidekick. MOVA has 11 agents, one for each department, joining one department at a time.
$149/month plus a one-time setup fee. Live in 7 days from access to your current site, or your first month is free.

01The short answer
Shopify or MOVA: who should pick which?
Both can be the right choice. It depends on what your store needs right now.
Pick Shopify if:
- You want a big platform with thousands of apps, and you're ready to run it yourself
- You sell in many countries, with storefront translation and prices in local currencies
- You also sell in person, at a counter or at events
- You want to start almost free: 3 days free, then $1/month for 3 months
Pick MOVA if:
- You want someone to move your store, keep your old links working in Google, and check every step
- You'd rather not manage apps and plugins yourself: the site, the admin, and the team in one plan
- You want people you can talk to, and an AI team that brings you proposals
In short: Shopify is strong if you run the store yourself, especially selling worldwide. MOVA moves your store, runs it with you, and brings the team.

Storefront translation, prices in local currencies with Shopify Payments, and selling in many countries from one store.
- Their strength
Start almost free
3 days free, then $1/month for 3 months, and no setup fees, per their pricing page.

The work is yours
You build the store, choose its apps, and keep it running, or you hire a Shopify Partner to do it.
- Worth knowing
A fee on third-party payment providers
With a third-party payment provider, Shopify adds 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, and 0.6% on Advanced.
- Worth knowing

04Why MOVA
Why pick MOVA over Shopify?

08Questions
MOVA vs Shopify: your questions.
My store is on Shopify. What moves?
We move your products, photos, pages, and content, and point every old link to its new page. Customers and order history come along where your current platform can export them. This is how Hasod, our own online gift store, moved from Shopify: 549 old links were mapped one by one to the new site. Almost all of them now redirect, most to the matching page and some to the shop page. A product that's no longer sold tells Google it's gone for good, instead of showing an error page.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I leave Shopify?
Every old link points to its new page with a permanent redirect, so visitors and Google land on the right page, and we check each step of the move. Google says rankings may go up and down for a while during a site move, and that they settle down over time. The ranking itself is Google's call, so no one can promise you a position, and we won't either.
Does Shopify charge a fee on every sale?
Shopify's pricing page lists a fee when you use a third-party payment provider instead of Shopify Payments: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, and 0.6% on Advanced. Its FAQ adds that card fees vary by plan. With MOVA, your payment processor's fees aren't part of the monthly price: you pay them by use.
Why does MOVA cost more than Shopify Basic?
Shopify Basic is $29/month on yearly billing, and MOVA is $149/month plus a one-time setup fee. On Shopify you build and run the store yourself; at MOVA we build it, move it, keep it up, and check it, with one admin and an AI team that joins one department at a time. If you want to run it yourself, and especially to sell worldwide, Shopify can be the better fit.
Can I keep selling while you move my store?
Yes. The new site is built at its own address, and the switch happens at the end, after you approve it. Until then, your current site keeps selling as usual.
What if MOVA isn't right for me?
No long-term contract. Cancel any month. The setup fee covers work already done, so it isn't refunded. And the guarantee: Live in 7 days from access to your current site, or your first month is free. The 7 days start when we have access to your current site and all your materials. Time spent waiting for your approvals or materials doesn't count.
What does early access mean for a US store?
MOVA runs every day in our own store, Hasod. US stores are joining now as early access: your new site, the admin and Maya, your customer service agent, from launch day. The rest of the team joins one department at a time. Your payment processor and shipping carriers are connected during setup, where your provider allows it.
